About Our Classes
Appropriate for students who are just moving up from Beginner to the Intermediate level, as well as those who have been practicing for a while & want a slower pace to the flow. Introductions to yogic philosophy & more flowing from one pose to the next.
This class also continues to deepen pranayama (breathing) & meditation techniques. This is the beginning level of the Dharma Yoga series. Students will practice & be introduced to Dharma Yoga Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa Level I to warm up the body, bring flexibility to all muscles & joints, & wake up the nervous system. A gentle yet powerful series of balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting & mild inverted postures will follow. This practice ends with Deep Relaxation, breathing exercises, & concentration / meditation to remove impurities & bring a sense of well-being to the body & radiant peace to the mind.
For students who have yoga experience looking for a little more difficulty, this class deepens the Dharma Yoga Level I practice.
This practice builds on the fundamentals of Dharma I, & is designed for those wishing to advance in posture practice. Dharma II will ignite the entire bodily system through practice. A series of deeper balancing, stretching, back bending, twisting & inverted variations will be taught, including the Headstand, King of Postures. This practice finishes with Deep Relaxation, breathing practices, & concentration / meditation, which will induce deep calm & simultaneously invigorate the students.
A challenging practice for those who have a regular yoga practice. This class will focus on more challenging variations of postures as well as deeper practices of yogic philosophy, pranayama (breathing) & meditatoin. This practice builds on the teachings of Dharma II, & is designed for those wishing to advance through our progressively challenging asana practices.
Dharma III will ignite the entire bodily system through practice, unleashing the life force within it. With regular practice, weight problems & disease become a thing of the past, as one attains good health & increased stamina, & gains the opportunity to attain Self-realization. The balancing, back bending, twisting & inversion variations increase in difficulty. This practice finishes with Deep Relaxation, breathing exercises, & concentration / meditation certain to bring a deep sense of calm, increased sense of balance, peace, & invigorated energy to all students.
Recommended for students & teachers who have been practicing yoga regularly for at least a year. This class will include spiritual discourse, advanced variations of postures, as well as a strong focus on pranayama (breathing techniques) & meditation.

Baptiste-inspired hot yoga for all levels. You’ll groove to upbeat and inspiring tunes as we integrate body and mind, as well as create tapas (heat) with sun salutations; then move through asanas for balancing and grounding. Progress to poses that ignite the heart, stabilize the core, open the hips, and rejuvenate the whole body. You will end in deep rest to allow the body to absorb, assimilate and heal. Bring a towel, lots of water and an open mind.
Perfect for those who are brand new to yoga or still working within the beginner level. Gentle stretching with an emphasis on learning the postures & proper alignment with a slow pace. Students will also be introduced to simple breathing & relaxation techniques.
This beginner class can also be attended by all levels of yoga experience to facilitate gentle stretching, simple breathing techniques & relaxation.
This healing session is appropriate for all ages, who wish to finally add the healing qualities of yoga into their lives. We move the body through the classical poses very slowly, gently & conscientiously. Rests are taken between poses as the body moves towards inner introspection on a physical & meditative level. This class is highly beneficial for those returning from an illness or injury, or who haven’t moved in a long time. It is recommended for those who are looking for a gentle & easy class or are prenatal. Everyone will leave feeling refreshed & relaxed.
HOT VINYASA FLOW
This class is recommended for intermediate & advanced students who have experience with yoga. Not appropriate for beginner students.

MAMA AND BABY YOGA
Mama and Baby Yoga Classes are open to all Mothers with their Baby (or Babies for those with multiples!) newborn through crawling age.
This class is designed for postpartum Mothers with their babies, whether Mamas are first time yoga attendees or advanced yoga practitioners. Babies and Mamas may return to class after birth as soon as they are feeling ready to rejoin class with baby earth-side (typically 4-6 weeks); all postures may be modified to accommodate postpartum needs. This is a loving and sweet class designed to stretch and strengthen Mama's body, bring about gentle and peaceful connection between mother and child, create a community of Mothers, and provide a blueprint for taking yoga off the mat and into everyday life throughout motherhood. This Prenatal Yoga class is designed for Mothers in all stages of pregnancy, whether Mamas are first time yoga attendees or advanced yoga practitioners. Each class will include centering, opportunity for community with other Mothers, warm ups, breathing techniques to calm the body and nervous system, yoga postures to stretch, strengthen, and relax the body, and class will conclude with deep relaxation followed by concentration and mediation practice to nurture inner focus and connection with baby. SATSANG AND KIRTAN
Satsang is a Sanskrit word which can be translated as a “gathering in the company with the wise”. It is the traditional method of supporting the spiritualization of the student, Sadhaka or disciple with the teacher or Guru. There is both a non-verbal and verbal transmission to the aspirant from the teacher. It is also a means to honor the teacher for all the work they have done for the student in imparting the teachings and understanding of Universal Truth to them. THERAPEUTIC APPROACH TO YOGA
Therapeutic Yoga is a rejuvenating practice which incorporates gentle yoga, pranayam, restorative postures, healing touch, & guided meditation. Appropriate for all levels of yoga experience, the intention of the practice is to support the process of healing whether physical, mental, or spiritual.
A 6 week series to progressively develop a thoughtful and therapeutic approach that is accessible for all levels. Helena will incorporate various techniques in pranayama, therapeutic variations, PranaVinyasa®, Ayuryoga®, and Katonah® flow.
This yoga session will enhance and develop a different or new lens of perception that is beneficial for adept yoga practitioners and also those who are new to yoga.
The "Power of Yoga" is a synergistic spiritual, physical, and mental practice that includes mindful adaptations, instructional techniques, along with some fun variations to expand the energetic and physical embodiment of your practice. Appropriate for all levels of yoga experience, the intention of the practice is to support the process of healing whether physical, mental, or spiritual.
Very similar to the Dharma Yoga Level I & II classes, but this intermediate level class has a slightly faster pace. Although both classes flow from one pose to the next & utilize many of the same asanas (postures), the length of holding the poses is a little longer in the Dharma Yoga sequences. Students will also deepen their practice with more pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation & some chanting.
A style of Hatha yoga that utilizes longer held postures (generally 2-5 minutes) to stress the connective tissues of the body through tension & compression as well as gently & safely stress the joints themselves.
The practice affects the energy channels (Nadis / Meridians) where they run deeper in the body & can be very meditative due to trying to keep the awareness at the breath. Yin Yoga can be a great complementary practice to more vigorous forms of yoga & is appropriate for most students.
